A great part of this, if not all, is due to the wonders of technology. 50 to 20 years ago we probably thought that mobile phones are not possible, or maybe we do not see its use since we can live without it. But at the end of the day, the fact remains that technology is around us mainly to help us and make our lives comfortable or easier. Although it is sad to know that some use it as a form of destruction. We can see the importance and benefits of technology depending on the way we use it. But just like in any other things, abuse of it can be very harmful. Despite of some bad effects that technology can bring due to misuse, there are still countless reasons why we consider technology important. Below are some of them.

But such is not suitable anymore with the fast paced life we now have. The cars, trains and planes bring us to our destination in just a matter of minutes or hours, which used to take days or months.
- Another development brought about by technology is communication. With the emergence of telephone, internet, media and the likes, barriers in the different parts of the world are now lessened. Communication is now very easy and accessible.
- Technology has also made tremendous effects in the world of medicine. A lot of sicknesses that used to be impossible to cure can now be treated. Although there are still illnesses that remain incurable, medications or methods have been developed to lessen pain or to make patients’ lives longer. Through the continuous technological advancement, it is hoped that the future for such patients will be brighter.
- The advancement of technology also means development in science and research. Because of technology, research has never been easy. Example, equipments have been developed to easily detect approaching natural disasters such as typhoon or tornado. A lot of people are saved because warnings are now disseminated. Education in science is now wider and broader due to research.
- Lastly and probably also a result of research, the machines which are great result of technology. These powerful machines definitely make our lives easier. It makes a lot of industries operate efficiently and productively. All types of field feel its use and importance. Through the machines, everything seems to be created in an instant.
