Who Invented Golf?

The History of golf is not quite clear although traces show that it started in Scotland in the twelfth century by a man named Haggis Macgregor. Golf is also believed to have emanated from the Great Britain. The Scots at the time were playing the game in a more basic form by simply taking a club and then swinging the club at a ball right from the starting point to the finish hole in very few strokes. However, King James II of Scotland banned the game claiming that it made the archers miss going for their practice.

In Great Britain, the first time golf was played in 1340 but Scotland is recorded to be the brains behind the golf holes, the clubs and the balls used in golf. Initially golf was played by hitting pebbles on the sand dunes by the use of a club or a stick. Golf
