With the fast growing technology that we are embracing today, there’s no doubt that we will soon see the best of the best in the future airplanes. Who knows what aeronautical engineers are now building? Who knows what’s next for the future airplanes to come? Are these inventors now creating airplanes that can be used like cars? One thing is for sure. The future airplanes are surely stronger and safer. There will be more features that you will enjoy in the future airplanes. Let’s take a look at some of the future airplanes being developed today.
According to NASA, there are actually future airplanes on the works that can provide a “refuse-to-crash” technology and radical new flight controls. Perhaps it can be true in the future that an airplane can be as simple as handling cars. The latest in technology is now transforming aviation as we know it. They say that personal air vehicles may just be in store for us, provided we can afford it. But not talking about the numbers, they say that this new joined-wing design from Jerry Carlow is said to have a precise handling and is indeed really fast. We’ll see how this personal air vehicle will work out in the future. Now who wouldn’t want something like that? Just don’t expect it to be affordable especially the first few ones to be produced.
Other types of innovations on future airplanes involve that of the F-15 Eagle fighter jet. The research center of NASA in California is currently creating an F-15 Eagle fighter jet that can handle the worst malfunction in fighter jets – a problem with the stabilator. According to NASA, there are a number of ways that you can lose your stabilator. You can either encounter a computer failure, the actuator could be stuck, or your tailpipe got hit by a missile. The problem with the stabilator is that once you lose it, you don’t expect to fly home. That’s what the NASA is trying to fix right now, they are currently undergoing tests that can help pilots overcome this problem. Thankfully, one of the tester pilots has survived the test. During a test flight, after 30 seconds that the stabilator was lost, the plane was back on track flying like a base-line Eagle.
In today’s technology, the future airplanes are always aimed towards safer, more functional, and faster flying machines. After all, that’s what we all need. Let’s see how they can come up with crash-proof airliners for our future airplanes.
