Nearly all of us experience headaches from time to time. Pain felt behind the head, above the ears, above the eyes, or behind the upper neck is considered headache. It has various causes. Headaches can be grouped into two types, the primary headaches and the secondary headaches. Primary headaches are not symptoms of other diseases. Under this type includes tension, migraine, and cluster headaches. The most common kind is the tension headache, while migraine comes in second. Migraines are usually the type that is not diagnosed properly, leaving it untreated. For both tension and migraine headaches, women are more affected compared to men. The most unusual kind among the three primary headaches is the cluster headache. Those who suffer from this are usually men ages 28 to 30 on the average. On the other hand, headaches that are caused by other factors, from less serious to critical illnesses, are classified as secondary headaches. Most people do not only suffer one category of headache; rather they have mixed types of headaches. To know more about headaches, below are only some of its causes.
