Vacation Villas in Lanzarote

Are you looking for a different vacation spot? Tired of the same old, same old? Consider Lanzarote, the beauty of the Canary Islands. It’s an amazing place with pristine, white sand beaches, golf courses, great food and wine and the friendliest people on the planet.

Lanzarote has several cities and many fine hotels, but to really see the island and experience it fully, look into renting a villa. The prices, as you’d expect vary greatly. Do you need a small intimate townhouse on a quiet city street? Or do you want the full-on secluded house with heated swimming pool and acres of land between you and the nearest town? Lanzarote has both, and in abundance.

Lanzarote holidays can be as busy or quiet as you require. That’s what I love about the island. Do you want to golf everyday? Done. Do you want to explore the volcanic flora? There are miles and miles of gardens and parks just waiting for you.

The island is small enough that you can get anywhere in just a few hours, and probably (for many things) just a few minutes, by car. So renting a rural villa is a great option, especially if you have kids. A rural villa in Lanzarote might cost around $1,000 a week. If that sounds like a lot of money, here’s what you’re getting for that cash — a house that likely sleeps about 10 people (can you say big family vacation?), a pool, a kitchen (eating out can get expensive), breathtaking vistas and probably a garden, television, computer, and internet access. Plus quiet nights, leisurely days and the beaches and golf courses are minutes away. It sounds pretty perfect to me.

If you still want to avoid hotels but the rural villa scenario doesn’t appeal, you can consider renting an apartment. A duplex in Arrecife will probably cost about $300 a week. So that’s a little place in the capital city for less than what you’d spend for a hotel! Most of the apartments and duplexes have balconies and some have courtyards and gardens. It’s a great way to feel plugged in to everyday life on the island.

Looking into renting villas in Lanzarote could be just the push you need to book that flight and discover the tropical beauty of the Canary Islands’ best kept secret: Lanzarote.
