Vietnam is one of the fast growing countries nowadays. Numerous tourists flock here to see what they boast for- their outstanding scenery and their rich and interesting culture. Natural setting can be seen in the different parts of the country. The Mekong Delta is located in the south, while in the north there is the Red River Delta. Beautiful scenery surround Vietnam, making nature lovers return to the country. Their marvelous beaches also make travel to Vietnam a favorite.

Weather

The climate in Vietnam is often humid and hot. In the northern part of the country, January is the best time to go since it is cooler during this month. Generally, there are two monsoons in Vietnam. One is the winter monsoon which comes around October to March and which affects the areas in the north of Nha Trang. Currency

The currency used in Vietnam is Vietnamese dong. A number of luxurious hotels and some businesses accept payments in U.S. dollars. But it is advisable for tourists to bring a little U.S. dollars and travelers cheques in U.S. currency. Currently, a number of ATMs are scattered in the major cities of the country.

Sights

  1. Ba Be National Park. If you love nature, Ba Be National Park should be part of your itinerary. It is located in the province of Bac Kan. Ba Be National Park is a tropical rainforest with a size of 23,000 hectares. Waterfalls, caves, rivers, lakes and valleys can be found here. It also houses more than 550 plant species.
  2. Bac Ha Market. Vietnam is also known for its shopping because of the cheap goods they sell. Bac Ha Market is one of the places you can go to. It is less crowded than Sapa, making it more relaxing for shoppers.
  3. Cua Dai Beach. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, try the enormous white sand beach called Cua Dai Beach.
  4. Mariamman Hindu Temple. This temple was built during the 19th century in honor of Mariamman, the Hindu goddess.
  5. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam is also known for its wonderful history. Visiting this museum will be very insightful since it houses different artifacts in relation to the struggle of Vietnam for power.
  6. Phuoc An Hoi Quan Pagoda. This building was built in 1902 and it is one of the most beautiful architecture in the city. It has a number of figures or objects made of porcelain, brass and wood.
  7. Thien Hau Pagoda. It is located in Cholon, Ho Chi Minh City and it was built in honor of Thien Hau, who is the Chinese goddess of the sea.
