Geography
Thailand is considered the 50th largest country, measuring 198,000 sq mi. It is also the 20th largest in population. In the north and west of the country is Myanmar. The northeast of Thailand is Laos, and then Cambodia to its east and Malaysia to its south.
Climate
Thailand is a tropical country with frequent monsoons. Between November and February, the weather is usually good, which is the best time to visit the country. The months of March until May are the hottest season but if you plan to go to the south, this is the right time to go there.

The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo. This is the famous landmark in the city of Bangkok and this is usually on top of the list of tourists. The palace was built in 1782. It has different buildings with unique architectural design. Wat Phra Kaeo is the Royal chapel. It is also located inside the compound. Here lies the sacred Buddha, the Emerald Buddha. The compound is open from 8:30am to 3:30pm daily. An admission fee is charged.

Wat Arun or Temple of the Dawn. This temple houses the pagoda or Phra Prang which is 79 meters high. A small amount is also charged for admission.

Vimarnmek Mansion. It is known to be the biggest golden teak building in the world. It was originally a residence for the family of King Chulalongkorn. This mansion is filled with jewelry, crystals and other things from Europe.

Pattaya. If you love the beach, enjoy the nightlife and get engaged in different kinds of water sports, Pattaya is a perfect place to go. It is one of the popular beach resorts among tourists.

Floating Market. Located in Damnern Saduak, the Floating Market is visited by hundreds and thousands of tourists. The market is famous for the country’s delicious fruits.
