Packing your luggage for your vacation can cause a lot of stress. You should make sure that you bring everything you need for your trip. The very first and most basic task you need to do is a checklist of the important things you will take with you. This will be a great help in reminding you of the essential things you will bring and at the same time discourage you from adding more stuffs beyond your list while you pack. To make things easier for you, below are some things that might be necessary for you to bring. Some items might not be applicable depending on your destination.

  1. Travel documents. If traveling outside the country, do not forget all the documents needed such as plane ticket and passport.

  2. Money. Of course do not forget your money, which should be enough for your expenses for the whole trip. But if you plan to pay through your credit card, you still have to bring cash because not all establishments accept credit cards.

  3. Clothes. Choose your clothes according to the weather of where you will go to and the activities that you will do. Do not bring your whole closet. You can bring pants, pajamas, shirts, blouses, suits, dresses, gloves, and a swimsuit (if you are planning to go to the beach). If you need a trench coat, one should be enough to save space in your suitcase. You can also try wearing or carrying it so you can place other things inside your luggage besides your trench coat, since it consumes a lot of space.

  4. Shoes. Take with you the appropriate shoes for your trip like leather shoes, rubber shoes, and slippers. If possible, do not bring more than two pairs of shoes since this adds weight to your luggage and occupy so much space.

  5. Toiletries. Do not forget to bring your personal care items that you will need like soap, shampoo, lotion, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, razors, shaving cream, and sun block. Do not depend on the toiletries given in the hotels because it can sometimes cause allergies or irritation to other people.

  6. Medicines. It is important to bring your own medication since you will never know when you will need them. This is especially crucial if you have any special kind of sickness, but being ready with the basic medicines for flu, cough, colds, allergies, etc. would not hurt as well.

  7. Electronic devices. Bring the electronic devices you will be using such as your camera, mobile phone, mobile music player, laptop, blow dryer, and travel iron. Also, do not forget to bring power adaptors for these because other countries have different power sockets.

  8. Entertainment. Bring things to entertain you for long trips like books, magazines, mobile music player, and laptop so you won’t get bored.
