Want to relax and travel but not necessarily splurge? Below are some suggestions you can go to if you are traveling on a budget. But of course, take note that when you say “cheap travel destinations”, this can vary where you are coming from and how much you will spend when you get to the place. Also just an advice, if you do not mind, you can try living in hostels instead of hotels or motels to lessen your expenses. There are clean and nice hostels everywhere. You just have to patiently look for one. Enjoy!

Thailand. Your first stop- Bangkok. A place where you can experience Thailand’s rich culture. The beautiful Buddhist temples, like Wat Traimit, Wat Po and Wat Benchamabophit, are worth visiting. Afterwards, you can drop by Damnoen Saduak floating market and other famous markets as well, where you can find really cheap stuffs. If you love the beach, you can then stop at the famous Phuket Island. Also, take time to visit other islands around like Phi Phi Islands. By the way, do not forget to try Thai food to complete your Thai experience!

Egypt. A lot of travelers would love to go to Egypt because of the fascinating architectures. But somehow the country is linked to Iraq and Afghanistan, where tourists are least expected. In order to attract visitors, ticket prices going to Egypt are really low. And you do not have to worry because tourists here remained safe. Do not forget to visit the largest open-air museum in the world where you can see monuments and statues and take advantage of its numerous free attractions as well. In order to relax, try cruising along the famous River Nile. Also, try its delicious traditional food and the good news, you can find cheap restaurants but still serving really good and tasty food. Always remember that in Egypt, it’s all about bargain so do not be shy to negotiate!

Argentina. Don’t worry, it is relatively safe unlike what others say but of course, you should not go to dangerous neighborhoods. For those in tight budget, Buenos Aires is the best place to go to. Everything seems to be so cheap- food, shows, bars, drinks, etc.

Wisconsin Dells. Looking for a place to relax and have fun? Wisconsin Dells, the water park capital of the world, is the perfect place for you. It is well-known for its numerous indoor and outdoor water parks. You can also take a cruise to view the rock formations along Wisconsin River and visit the International Crane Foundation, where they preserve the wildlife. Other things to make your vacation worth while are play golf, watch shows, and visit theme parks. Just a tip, visit established attractions rather than the new ones to save money.

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh, also known as Saigon, is one of the countries in Asia that is fast progressing. As early as now, it is a good idea to visit the country to take advantage of the cheap vacation before it fully develops, which for sure will result to sky rocketing prices. You can do a lot of shopping in the busy street of Dong Khoi. Also, take the chance to ride their cyclo, which is partly bicycle and partly cart. You can also stroll along the Botanical Garden to get away from the busy and exhausting streets. As for the nightlife, bars and clubs range from low to high-end. Vietnamese food also tastes really good plus it is very affordable, which is perfect for those in tight budget.
