The player plays as a Wisp drawn to the battlefield in which all the knights were murdered. Based on whatever knight the player chooses, there is a complete different part of the story. Every knight has a unique interests, skills and goals. Although the player may not be able to play with all the 100 knights, its fun to shuffle between the knights and experience the fun in the game. One unique aspect of this game is giving the player an option of double play, the player is able to play on the opposite side as the invading evils. This balances both perspectives within the game. The game has an exclusive genre-bending fight mode. The fights are in real-time, the player controls the wish and when it gets over an object that can attack, a weapon is selected to eliminate the threat. The game missions also have a timer to keep the player on toes and make sure that the targets are achieved. The time is reduced when one charges attacks and at times when the wisp is hit. The player has limited time to plan the game strategies hence contradicting the strategy game play mode.

The game is perceived to be over lenient in a few number of turns it gives the player knock off their foes. Apart from levelling the knights, one has to focus on customizing the characters and this leads to one using only a few of the knights and ignoring majority of the knights in favour of a young and strong unit.
