This action-packaged game is designed to play only on a PlayStation 3 (PS3) video game console. It was released on 05/26/2009 in North America, 05/29/2009 in Europe and will be released on 06/4/2009 in New Zealand and Australia. The game was developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
The user gets to play under an alias named Cole who is a bike messenger on an assignment to deliver a package by this take a different twist when the very package to be delivered explodes creating an extensive horror, leaving thousands dead in a newly formed no-humans land. The explosion brings along confusion in the entire empire such that not even a single rule can control an ordinary citizen hence the citizens rule over the authorities leaving the police with a sole option of either being killed or running and hiding for their life. However, the government plots a plan to save the heart of the Empire City from the invention of this lawlessness and unending chaos.
The explosion affects the alias Cole unlike many others who managed to escape unaffected. This leads to Cole getting extreme electricity based powers that enable him survive a fall from and height. Majority believe that Cole should be accountable for the explosion and the gangs plan to fill the ungoverned part of the empire. This leads to inhuman crimes within the territories and the streets being controlled by specific groups of gangs. The players’ responsibility is to recollect back the empire to its original status.
The game gives the player the ability to control the entire empire; the player can control supplies into the empire making him/her the worst fear of the society leading to a long lasting hatred between the player and the citizens. Regardless of whatever sides the player take, it will have to reflect at a certain level or stage of the game hence one has to be keen on what steps he/she decides to take because this may lead to making the game have a smooth flow or a hard one. Having an electric blue skin tone will mean that one is ruling in favor of the citizens and every citizen will come for help, on the other side a red temperament will be a rule against the citizens and people will view one as a rival.
Apart from the game giving the user total control, it makes one associate himself/herself with it with its real effects which included ones girlfriend comforting them in times of trouble.
However, the game has no specific serious side. Throughout the game, plots just appear from unpredicted places.
