A vaporizer presents a tool used in preventing the side effects or long term negative effects caused by smoking. The
main function of the vaporizer is to discharge useful plant elements to the lungs without combustion. Harmful chemicals such as tars and carcinogens are not passed to the lungs. Though a vaporizer is not hard to use, many people either use it in the wrong way or do not know how to use it altogether. To achieve excellent results, the vaporizer should be used in a proper manner.
Prepare the Herbs
Ensure the plant herbs are finely grounded before being placed in the vaporizer. The herbs can be easily grounded using either a herb grinder or a coffee grinder. When preparing the herbs, make sure they do not turn to powder.
Turn on the Vaporizer
Make sure to turn on the vaporizer. Place the vaporizer’s power cord to the power outlet then switch it on and then select the highest possible temperature. Depending on the type of vaporizer, the mechanism for turning it on may be different. If unsure about turning on the vaporizer, consult the product’s operating instructions.
Load the Handpiece
Place the herbs inside the whip or handpiece. Loading of the herbs will depend on the type of vaporizer being used. For instance, if the vaporizer handpiece has a screen attached to it, then the herb should be placed on that screen. When placing the herbs do not overcrowd the screen with a lot of herbs. For a more even vaporization small amounts of herbs is sufficient.
Correct Temperature
Once the herbs have been loaded to the vaporizer, all is set for vaporization. Read the instructions to see the recommended level of temperature required for warming up the vaporizer. In spite of the type of vaporizer being used, make sure the vaporizer is hot enough to be used for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Proper Placement
When the right temperature achieved, place the handpiece at the rear of the heating element. Take the mouthpiece plastic end tube and place it in the mouth. After placing the tube to the mouth, proceed to get the draw. Though various vaporizers will function differently, vapor is formed when hot air is drawn over the herbs via the tubes to the lungs.
Once the drawing process is over, remove the handpiece away from the vaporizer unit to prevent the herbs from being heated. Turn off the vaporizer after use for it to cool. The right procedure for using a vaporizer should be followed for successful vaporizing.

The freshness of your herbs determines the proper temperature to use for vaporization.Moister herb will require a higher temp and dry herb will require a lower temp. Fluctuating between 340-375 degrees Fahrenheit.
