How to Roast Red Potatoes

Potato is a kind of vegetable that is high in potassium, fiber and vitamin C. There are more than a thousand kinds of potatoes all over the world. One of the most common is the red potato. They can also be steamed, roasted and broiled. They are in fact tasty even when cooked in the microwave. If you do not have enough time to prepare, simply pour a half cup of water for every pound of potatoes in the container. Cook the red potatoes on high for approximately 6 to 8 minutes for every pound. When the vegetables are tender, just put some butter over the potatoes and spice it up with the desired herb. Roasted red potatoes in dish

Ingredients:

Half stick butter

2 teaspoons of sliced chives

2 teaspoons of dill weed

2 teaspoons of pepper (white)

4 to 5 medium sized red potatoes

3 tablespoons of seasoned salt

 

Procedure:

  1. Before starting to prepare anything, do not forget to preheat the oven first to 350 degrees.
  2. Thoroughly wash the 4 to 5 medium sized red potatoes.
  3. After which, slice the red potatoes into small portions.
  4. Place the chopped potatoes in a baking pan with a size of 8 inches x 12 inches.
  5. Get the butter and cut it into ΒΌ inches. Put these on top of the sliced red potatoes.
  6. Dash the 2 tablespoons of salt on top of the butter.
  7. You can then add the dill weed, white pepper and sliced chives over the salt.
  8. Now, place the pan inside the oven for approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Do not forget to keep an eye on the potatoes or they might end up overcooked. Turn the red potatoes every now and then, approximately every 15 minutes, to avoid any burnt portions.
