How To Prepare For a Mexico Trip

Mexico is a vast country which makes it very interesting for a lot of people. Tourists visit for their unique architectures, historical ruins, delicious Mexican food, extraordinary shopping experience, ever famous beaches, and many more. If you are about to go to this fascinating country, make sure you have the basic must-haves. You are not ready to leave just yet without going through the list below.

  1. Of course, do not forget your passport. You will need to present your passport whether you travel by plane, land, or cruise. Always carry with you your driver’s license or birth certificate as additional identification documents. You should also have at least two photocopies of the page of your passport with your picture just in case your passport gets lost or broken. And obviously if you are traveling by plane, do not forget your airline ticket.

  2. If you are bringing your car, proper documentation should be presented to prove ownership such as registration certificate. If the vehicle is rented, show the contract between you and the leaser, which should be under the name of the driver. But if the car is company-owned, you should have a proof that you are an employee of that company.

  3. You are on vacation therefore you will definitely spend money. Do not forget to bring your money or credit card. You can either bring Mexican Peso or U.S. dollar then just have it exchanged when you get there.

  4. You surely want to keep memories of your trip thus always bring your ever dependable camera. You might also want to bring extra batteries and memory card so you won’t miss anything if ever they run out.

  5. Wherever you go, you should always be ready with different kinds of power adaptors to make sure you will be able to charge your camera, phones, and other important electronic devices.

  6. Bring appropriate clothes and shoes. For some locations, temperature can really be high therefore you should have light clothes with you. But for some places, there can be unexpected rain showers that’s why it would not hurt to be ready with raincoat and umbrella. Also, depending on your itinerary, you might also do a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes, preferably rubber shoes. But of course if you are also heading to the beach, you should also bring your nice sandals with you.

  7. In order to beat the heat and at the same time take care of your eyes and skin, you should always have your sunglasses, hat and sunscreen with you.

  8. If you are in Mexico, you should definitely be ready to go to their famous beaches. You should bring your swimsuits and board shorts. For some, they prefer to bring their own towels although these are also available in the hotels.

  9. Always carry with you your medicines. You will never know when you will need them.

  10. You are in a foreign place therefore a map and an English-Spanish dictionary should always come in handy.
