I don't understand why all the people who commented are complaining. The article clearly states the do's and dont's! This article was well put and very helpful. Some people need to pay attention.

Read it again Monica....

"Do not thaw frozen chicken at room temperature because this is ideal for bacterial growth. Use the refrigerator, cold water or the microwave for defrosting the chicken."

They are not suggesting it, they are telling you not to do it.

Good luck with the window licking ;-)

Theres no reason you cant cook chicken from frozen, people seem to think that cooking from frozen somehow allows bacteria on the chicken to thrive. The actual reason people frown on cooking from frozen is because people commonly cook to the thawed guidlines resulting in an uncooked centre. As long as its cooked through with no pink and hot in the middle theres no problem cooking from frozen.

I don't know why you suggest defrosting the chicken at room tempurature. This is a big mistake. Chicken should either be defrosted in the fridge or under running cold water. Letting the chicken stand at room temp makes the chicken more likely to have increased salmonella, which could make you very sick.

You can cook chicken frozen, and have it turn out delicious. Follow the instructions on the back of the frozen chicken package, and it is fine. Try it out!
