- Make sure you wash your hands with warm soapy water.
- Confirm weight: One should confirm the weight of the bird before starting anything. This helps one to know the amount of time it will take to be ready.
- Roasting temperature: The first thing to do is to make sure to preheat the oven to a temperature of 350ºF (176ºC). Each pound of chicken should take at least 20 minutes to be ready.
- Skinning: Here is where one is supposed to decide whether to skin or not to skin the chicken.
- Clean the chicken: Clean properly and rinse under running water, preferably cold. Use a clean kitchen towel to dry it. This helps in giving the chicken a brown crisp skin.
